Rates and Insurance

Understanding the financial side of therapy should feel straightforward. I offer both insurance and private pay options, and I am happy to help you understand what may be available based on your coverage.

Session Rates

I believe therapy should feel like a space that is centered on you, your goals, and what you need, rather than what an insurance plan determines is covered. Choosing to pay for therapy directly allows us to make decisions about your care based on your individual needs, without the limitations that can sometimes come with insurance coverage.

Initial Intake Session: $225
Individual Therapy Session: $200
Psychological Evaluations: Varies based on the service. Please inquire for more information.

Insurance Coverage

I am currently in-network with:

Aetna | Allied Benefit Systems | Anthem Blue Cross

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield | Carelon Behavioral Health

Christian Brothers Services | Health Plans Inc

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

Optum | Oscar Health | Oxford | Quest Behavioral Health

Trustmark | UnitedHealthcare Plans (UHC | UBH | UHSS | ONEX | UMR | Global | All Savers)

Insurance coverage can vary by individual plan. If you are unsure whether I am in network with your specific plan, please reach out and I am happy to help you understand your options.

Using Out-of-Network Benefits

If I am not in network with your insurance plan, you may still be eligible for reimbursement through your out of network benefits. I can provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Every plan is different, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about your out of network mental health benefits, deductible, reimbursement rate, and any limits that may apply.

Choosing Private Pay

Some clients choose to pay for therapy directly rather than use insurance. Private pay can offer greater flexibility in determining the focus, frequency, and duration of therapy based on your individual needs. It also means that your care does not need to meet an insurance company’s requirements for a mental health diagnosis or medical necessity.

Whether you choose to use insurance benefits or pay privately is a personal decision. My goal is to make your options clear so you can choose what feels right for you.
